SB 1.9.43

सूत उवाच
कृष्ण एवं भगवति मनोवाग्दृष्टिवृत्तिभिः ।
आत्मन्यात्मानमावेश्य सोऽन्तःश्वास उपारमत् ॥ ४३ ॥
sūta uvāca
kṛṣṇa evaṁ bhagavati mano-vāg-dṛṣṭi-vṛttibhiḥ
ātmany ātmānam āveśya so’ntaḥ-śvāsa upāramat

Synonyms

sūtaḥ — Śrī Sūta; uvāca — said; āveśya — absorbing [or uniting (ekīkṛtya)156]; ātmānam — his inner self [pratyag-ātmānam157]; evam — in this manner; bhagavati — into Bhagavān; kṛṣṇe — Śrī Kṛṣṇa; ātmani — the Supreme Self [paramātmani158]; vṛttibhiḥ — through the functions [vyāpāraiḥ159]; manaḥ — [of his] mind; vāk — speech; dṛṣṭi — [and] vision; saḥ — he [Bhīṣma]; antaḥ-śvāsaḥ — whose life air was merged within [antare’valīnaḥ śvāso yasya saḥ160]; upāramat — gave up his body [dehaṁ tyaktavān161].

Translation

Śrī Sūta said: Absorbing his inner self in this manner into Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Self, through the functions of his mind, speech, and vision, he [Bhīṣma], whose life air was merged within, gave up his body.
