प्रसन्नहासारुणलोचनोल्लसन्मुखाम्बुजो ध्यानपथश्चतुर्भुजः ॥ २४ ॥
kalevaraṁ yāvad idaṁ hinomy aham
prasanna-hāsāruṇa-locanollasan-
mukhāmbujo dhyāna-pathaś catur-bhujaḥ
Synonyms
saḥ — [may] He; deva-devaḥ — the God of gods; bhagavān — Bhagavān; catur-bhujaḥ — who has four arms; mukha-ambujaḥ — whose lotus face; ullasat — is radiant [śobhamānam79]; prasanna-hāsa — [with] a gracious smile; aruṇa-locana — [and] reddish eyes; dhyāna-pathaḥ — [and] who is the object to be contemplated on the path of meditation [(dhyānasya panthā viṣayaḥ), implying that He is meditated upon by others only internally (yo’nyair antaś-cintyate kevalam)]; [mām] pratīkṣatām — wait here for me [remain here directly before me (so’grataḥ sthitaḥ san)]; yāvat — until; aham — I; hinomi — give up [(tyajāmi), of my own accord (svātantryam)]; idam — this; kalevaram — body [śarīram80].
Translation
May He, the God of gods, Bhagavān, who has four arms, whose lotus face is radiant with a gracious smile and reddish eyes, and who is the object to be contemplated on the path of meditation, remain here directly before me until I give up this body.
