SB 1.8.42

त्वयि मेऽनन्यविषया मतिर्मधुपतेऽसकृत् ।
रतिमुद्वहतादद्धा गङ्गेवौघमुदन्वति ॥ ४२ ॥
tvayi me’nanya-viṣayā matir madhu-pate’sakṛt
ratim udvahatād addhā gaṅgevaugham udanvati

Synonyms

madhu-pate — O Lord of the Madhus [of the Yādavas, whose alternate name is the Mādhavas, as will be made explicit in the Ninth Canto (yādavānām eva mādhava iti nāmantaraṁ taś ca navame sphuṭī bhaviṣyati)158]; me — [let] my [mama159]; matiḥ — mind; ananya-viṣayā — devoid of any other object of affection [anyatra mamatva śūnyā160]; asakṛt — continuously [nirantaram161]; addhā — [and] directly [sākṣāt162]; udvahatāt — convey [or enact (karoti)163]; ratim — [the flow of] unimpeded divine love [anavacchinnāṁ prītim164]; tvayi — unto You [the ultimate refuge for all devotees (sarva-bhaktāśrayaṇīye)]; iva — just as; gaṅgā — the Gaṅgā; [unobstructed by any obstacle (pratibandhaṁ na gaṇayati)165]; [conveys (vahati)]; ogham — [its] flow [plavam166]; udanvati — to the ocean [(samudre);167 the refuge of all rivers (akhila-nada-nadīnām āśraye)].

Translation

O Lord of the Madhus! Let my mind, devoid of any other object of affection, continuously and directly convey the flow of unimpeded divine love unto You, just as the Gaṅgā conveys its flow to the ocean.
