SB 1.8.33

अपरे वसुदेवस्य देवक्यां याचितोऽभ्यगात् ।
अजस्त्वमस्य क्षेमाय वधाय च सुरद्विषाम् ॥ ३३ ॥
apare vasudevasya devakyāṁ yācito’bhyagāt
ajas tvam asya kṣemāya vadhāya ca sura-dviṣām

Synonyms

apare — others; [say (āhuḥ)127]; kṣemāya — [that] for the well-being [svasty artham]; asya — of this world [viśvasya]; ca — and; vadhāya — to slay; sura-dviṣām — the enemies of the gods [the daityas]; tvam — You; ajaḥ — [although] unborn [bereft of material birth, which occurs under the influence of time and conditional action (kāla-karmādy-adhīna-janma-rahita eva)]; abhyagāt — accepted [svīkṛtavān asi]; [the “sonship” (putratvam)]; vasudevasya — of Vasudeva; devakyām — [and] Devakī; yācitaḥ — when You were prayed to by them [in their previous lives as Sutapā and Pṛśni (pūrvaṁ sutapaḥ pṛśni rūpābhyām)].

Translation

Others say that for the well-being of this world and to slay the enemies of the gods, You, although unborn, accepted the “sonship” of Vasudeva and Devakī when You were prayed to by them [in their previous lives as Sutapā and Pṛśni].
