SB 1.8.26

जन्मैश्वर्यश्रुतश्रीभिरेधमानमदः पुमान् ।
नैवार्हत्यभिधातुं वै त्वामकिञ्चनगोचरम् ॥ २६ ॥
janmaiśvarya-śruta-śrībhir edhamāna-madaḥ pumān
naivārhaty abhidhātuṁ vai tvām akiñcana-gocaram

Synonyms

pumān — a person; madaḥ — whose pride; edhamāna — is inflated [vardhamāna97]; janma — [by] noble birth [sat-kule prādurbhāvaḥ]; aiśvarya — administrative power [rājyādau98]; śruta — learning [vidyā]; śrībhiḥ — [or] wealth [sampat99]; na eva arhati — is certainly not able; tvām abhidhātum vai — to address You at all [to so much as utter Your names, such as Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Govinda (iti vaktum api)100]; gocaram — who are accessible [within the range of immediate experience (viṣaya-bhūtam)]; akiñcana101 — only to those who are destitute of all else but You [only to those who have no object of ultimate attainment other than You (nāsti tvad-vyatiriktaṁ paramārthatayā’bhipretaṁ kiñcanāpi vastu yeṣām te)].

Translation

A person whose pride is inflated by noble birth, administrative power, learning, or wealth is certainly unable to address You at all, who are accessible only to those who are destitute of all else but You.
