तत्कुलं प्रदहत्याशु सानुबन्धं शुचार्पितम् ॥ ४८ ॥
tat kulaṁ pradahaty āśu sānubandhaṁ śucārpitam
Synonyms
yaiḥ — by which; rājanyaiḥ — kings; ajita-ātmabhiḥ — of unsubdued minds [whose minds are controlled by anger (krodha-paravaśa ātmā mano yeṣām taiḥ)184]; brahma-kulam — the brāhminical lineage; kopitam — is angered; tat-kulam — that family [of kings (teṣāṁ rājanyānāṁ kulam)185]; śucā-arpitam — being overcome with lamentation [śokenārpitaṁ vyāptam]; āśu — [will] quickly [(śīghram eva);186 or immediately (tat-kṣaṇam eva)187]; pradahati188 — be destroyed [or incinerated (ādahati)189]; sa-anubandham — along with their relatives [sa-parivāram].
Translation
That family of kings of unsubdued minds by whom the brāhminical lineage is angered, will be overcome with lamentation and quickly destroyed along with their relatives.
