Translation

The honorable Droṇācārya, by whose grace you have learned the art of archery, with its secret mantras, and the use of an assortment of weapons, along with the knowledge of how to deploy and retract them, lives on in the form of his son [Aśvatthāmā]. His wife Kṛpī, who is his better half, is still alive, since she did not follow her husband [on the funeral pyre], because she has a son.
