SB 1.7.30

संहत्यान्योन्यमुभयोस्तेजसी शरसंवृते ।
आवृत्य रोदसी खं च ववृधातेऽर्कवह्निवत् ॥ ३० ॥
saṁhatyānyonyam ubhayos tejasī śara-saṁvṛte
āvṛtya rodasī khaṁ ca vavṛdhāte’rka-vahnivat

Synonyms

tejasī — the fires; ubhayoḥ — of the two brahmāstras [brahmāstrayoḥ120]; saṁvṛte — enveloped [saṁveṣṭite]; śara — by a net of arrows [śaraiḥ]; saṁ-hatya — merged [militvā]; anyonyam — into one another [parasparam]; āvṛ-tya — [and] covering; rodasī — heaven and earth [dyāvāpṛthivyau]; kham ca — as well as the space in between [antarīkṣañ ca]; vavṛdhāte — expanded [avardhetām]; arka-vahni-vat — like the sun and fire [like the fire emanating from the mouth of Saṅkarṣaṇa at the time of dissolution and the sun above, which then merge together and expand (yathā pralaye saṅkarṣaṇa-mukhāgniḥ upari-sthito’rkaś ca saṁhatya vardhete tad-vat)].

Translation

The fires of the two brahmāstras, enveloped by a net of arrows, merged into one another and, covering heaven and earth as well as the space in between, expanded like the sun and fire.
