शिशयिषोरनुप्राणं विविशेऽन्तरहं विभोः ॥ ३० ॥
śiśayiṣor anuprāṇaṁ viviśe’ntar ahaṁ vibhoḥ
Synonyms
kalpa-ante — at the end of the previous day of Brahmā; śayāne [śrī nārā-yaṇe147] — [when Śrī Nārāyaṇa] reposed; ambhasi — on the water; udanvataḥ — of the primordial ocean [ekārṇavasya]; ādāya — having reabsorbed [upasaṁhṛtya]; idam — this world [of three divisions (trai-lokyam)]; aham — I; anuprāṇam — united with his [Brahmā’s] ingoing breath [niśvāsena saha]; viviśe — entered [praviṣṭaḥ]; antaḥ — the interior [madhyam]; vibhoḥ — of Brahmā [brahmaṇaḥ]; śiśayiṣoḥ — who wished to sleep [inside Śrī Nārāyaṇa (śayaṇaṁ kartum icchoḥ)].
Translation
At the end of the previous day of Brahmā, when Śrī Nārāyaṇa reposed on the water of the primordial ocean, having reabsorbed this world, I, united with his [Brahmā’s] ingoing breath, entered within Brahmā, who wished to sleep [in the body of Śrī Nārāyaṇa].
