कृतवान्भारतं यस्त्वं सर्वार्थपरिबृंहितम् ॥ ३ ॥
kṛtavān bhārataṁ yas tvaṁ sarvārtha-paribṛṁhitam
Synonyms
jijñāsitam — whatever was inquired into; te — by you [(tvayā);6 meaning, whatever you wished to know regarding dharma and all other topics (jñātum iṣṭaṁ dharmādi yat tat sarvam)7]; susampannam — has been fully realized [samyag jñātam]; api — and [practically applied by you (anutiṣṭhañ ca tvayā)]; yaḥ — for [yataḥ8]; tvam — you; kṛtavān — have compiled; mahat-adbhutam — the extraordinarily wonderful; bhāratam — Mahābhārata; paribṛṁhitam — which is filled [paripūrṇam]; sarva-artha — [with deliberations] on all the primary goals of human life [such as dharma and so on (sarvair arthair dharmādibhiḥ)].
Translation
Whatever you inquired into has been fully realized [and practically applied] by you, for you have compiled the extraordinarily wonderful Mahābhārata, which is filled with deliberations on all the primary goals of human life.
