Translation

My dear [Vyāsa], in that assembly, every day, by the grace of the sages, I heard the mind-captivating narrations of Śrī Kṛṣṇa being sung by them. While attentively listening to each word with the śraddhā born to me [of its own accord], an attraction arose within me for Śrī Kṛṣṇa, whose stories are so delightful for everyone to hear.
