SB 1.5.22

इदं हि पुंसस्तपसः श्रुतस्य वा स्विष्टस्य सूक्तस्य च बुद्धिदत्तयोः ।
अविच्युतोऽर्थः कविभिर्निरूपितो यदुत्तमश्लोकगुणानुवर्णनम् ॥ २२ ॥
idaṁ hi puṁsas tapasaḥ śrutasya vā
sviṣṭasya sūktasya ca buddhi-dattayoḥ
avicyuto’rthaḥ kavibhir nirūpito
yad-uttamaśloka-guṇānuvarṇanam

guṇa-anuvarṇanam — recounting the attributes; uttamaśloka — [of] Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who is glorified in eloquent verses; idam hi — [is] indeed that [tat87]; yat — which; nirūpitaḥ — is declared [or decisively determined (niścayenoktaḥ)88]; kavibhiḥ — by realized mystic poets [who know in truth the unsurpassed ultimate goal (niratiśaya-prayojana-yāthātmya-vidbhiḥ)]; avicyutaḥ — [as] the unceasing [eternal (nityaḥ)89]; arthaḥ — purpose [or fruit (phalam)90]; tapasaḥ — of penances [such as fasting or upholding the practice of mantra-japa]; śrutasya vā — study of the Vedas [adhyayanam]; sviṣṭasya — sacrificial performance [yāgam]; sūktasya — recitation of the Vedic hymns; buddhi — cultivation of wisdom [jñānam]; dattayoḥ ca — and charity [dānam]; puṁsaḥ — of a human being.

Translation

Recounting the attributes of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who is glorified in eloquent verses, is indeed declared by realized mystic poets as the unceasing [eternal] fruit of a human being’s penances, study of the Vedas, sacrificial performance, recitation of the Vedic hymns, cultivation of wisdom, and charity.
