Translation

O muni, in the previous evolutionary cycle, in my past birth, I was born from a certain maidservant of brāhmaṇas who were learned in the Vedas. Although only a small boy, I was engaged in the service of yogīs who wished to stay in one place for the duration of the rainy season.
