दृश्यते यत्र धर्मादि स्त्रीशूद्रादिभिरप्युत ॥ २९ ॥
dṛśyate yatra dharmādi strī-śūdrādibhir apy uta
Synonyms
hi — moreover; āmnāya-arthaḥ — the meaning of the Vedas [vedānām arth-aḥ118]; pradarśitaḥ ca — has also been disclosed [by me]; vyapadeśena — under the pretext [vyājena]; bhārata — of the Mahābhārata; yatra — in which; dṛśyate — is found; dharma-ādiḥ — the socio-religious duty [conducive to the attainment of the highest good that accords with individual nature (sva-sāpekṣita-śreyaḥ-sādhanaḥ svānurūpo dharmaḥ)]; [to be enacted (anuṣṭh-eyaḥ)119]; strī-śūdra-ādibhiḥ api — even by women, śūdras, and others; uta — not to speak of [the dharma that is meant for those of higher eligibility, the brāhmaṇas and so on (brāhmaṇādibhir apīty ucyate)120].
Translation
Moreover, I have also disclosed the meaning of the Vedas under the pretext of the Mahābhārata, in which is found the dharma to be enacted even by women, śūdras, and others, not to speak of the dharma that is meant for those of higher eligibility.
