SB 1.4.28

धृतव्रतेन हि मया छन्दांसि गुरवोऽग्नयः ।
मानिता निर्व्यलीकेन गृहीतं चानुशासनम् ॥ २८ ॥
dhṛta-vratena hi mayā chandāṁsi guravo’gnayaḥ
mānitā nirvyalīkena gṛhītaṁ cānuśāsanam

Synonyms

chandāṁsi — the Vedas [vedāḥ114]; guravaḥ — the preceptors [ādhyāpakāḥ]; agnayaḥ — [and] the sacrificial fires [the three sacred fires (tretāgnayaḥ)]; mānitāḥ hi — have all indeed been worshiped [(pūjitāḥ);115 or venerated (sat-kṛtāḥ)]; mayā — by me; dhṛta-vratena — by observing the vows [(dhṛtaṁ vratam) appropriate to their service (chando gurvāgni-sevopayuktaṁ yena tena)116]; anuśāsanam ca — and the instructions [or the orders (ājñā);117 that pertain to them (chandādīnām anuśāsanam)]; gṛhītam — have also been carried out [kṛtam]; [by me (mayā)]; nirvyalīkena — without duplicity [niṣkapaṭa-bhāvena].

Translation

I have indeed worshiped the Vedas, the gurus, and the sacrificial fires by observing the vows appropriate to their service, and I have also carried out the instructions that pertain to them without duplicity.
