SB 1.4.20

ऋग्यजुःसामाथर्वाख्या वेदाश्चत्वार उद्धृताः ।
इतिहासपुराणं च पञ्चमो वेद उच्यते ॥ २० ॥
ṛg-yajuḥ-sāmātharvākhyā vedāś catvāra uddhṛtāḥ
itihāsa-purāṇaṁ ca pañcamo veda ucyate

Synonyms

uddhṛtāḥ — being thus divided [pṛthak kṛtāḥ84]; catvāraḥ — the four; vedāḥ — Vedas; ṛg-yajuḥ-sāma-atharva-ākhyāḥ — are named the Ṛg Veda, Yajur Veda, Sāma Veda, and Atharva Veda; itihāsa-purāṇaṁ ca — [while] the Itihāsas [the Epics] together with the Purāṇas; ucyate — are called; pañcamaḥ — the fifth; vedaḥ — Veda.

Translation

Being thus divided, the four Vedas are named the Ṛg Veda, Yajur Veda, Sāma Veda, and Atharva Veda, while the Itihāsas together with the Purāṇas are called the fifth Veda.
