कलाः सर्वे हरेरेव सप्रजापतयः स्मृताः ॥ २७ ॥
kalāḥ sarve harer eva saprajāpatayaḥ smṛtāḥ
Synonyms
mahā-ojasaḥ128 — the powerful [mahā-prabhāvāḥ129]; ṛṣayaḥ — sages [including the seers to whom the Vedic mantras were disclosed, headed by Vaśiṣṭha (mantra-draṣṭāro vaśiṣṭhādayaḥ), and the contemplatives headed by Śukadeva, who are exclusively intent on the immediate intuition of their authentic self and Paramātmā (munayaḥ kevala-svātma-paramātma-yāthātmya-manana-śīlāḥ śukādayaḥ)]; manavaḥ — the manus [headed by Svāyambhuva (svāyambhuvādayaḥ)130]; devāḥ — the gods [headed by Indra (indrādayaḥ)]; manu-putrāḥ — the sons of Manu [headed by Priyavrata (priyavratādayaḥ)]; sa-prajāpatayaḥ — together with the prajāpatis [the progenitors of the various species, headed by Dakṣa (dakṣādibhiḥ)]; sarve eva — [are] all indeed; smṛtāḥ — recognized [declared in the smṛti-śāstras (smṛtiṣu uktāḥ),131 as in Bhagavān’s own statement in the Gītā (10.41), yad yad vibhutimat sattvam]; kalāḥ — [as] minute portions [as vibhūtis, or manifestations of lesser power (vibhūtayaḥ, alpa-śakteḥ prakāśatvāt)132]; hareḥ — of Bhagavān Hari.
Translation
The powerful ṛṣis, the manus, the devas, the sons of Manu, together with the progenitors of the various species (prajāpatis), are all indeed recognized as minute portions (kalās) of Bhagavān Hari.
