रामकृष्णाविति भुवो भगवानहरद्भरम् ॥ २३ ॥
rāma-kṛṣṇāv iti bhuvo bhagavān aharad bharam
Synonyms
ekonaviṁśe — in the nineteenth; viṁśatime — [and] in the twentieth [advent (avatāre)106]; bhagavān — Śrī Bhagavān Himself [and not the Puruṣa called Aniruddha (sākṣāt śrī-bhagavata evāvirbhāvo’yaṁ na tu puruṣa-saṁjñasyāniruddhasya)107]; prāpya — assuming; janmanī — two appearances [prādurbhāva-dvayam108]; vṛṣṇiṣu — within the Vṛṣṇi dynasty; rāma-kṛṣṇau iti — as Śrī Balarāma and Śrī Kṛṣṇa [as His own direct expansion, Śrī Balarāma (nijāṁśa-rūpatvād-rāma-rūpeṇa), and as His own direct form, Śrī Kṛṣṇa (sāksād-rūpatvāt-śrī-kṛṣṇa-rūpeṇa)109]; aharat — removed; bharam — the burden; bhuvaḥ — of the earth.
Translation
In the nineteenth and twentieth avatāras, Śrī Bhagavān Himself, assuming two appearances within the Vṛṣṇi dynasty as Śrī Balarāma and Śrī Kṛṣṇa, removed the burden of the earth.
