दर्शयन्वर्त्म धीराणां सर्वाश्रमनमस्कृतम् ॥ १३ ॥
darśayan vartma dhīrāṇāṁ sarvāśrama-namaskṛtam
Synonyms
tu — then; aṣṭame — in the eighth advent [avatāre64]; [the Puruṣa]; jātaḥ — appeared; urukramaḥ — as Urukrama [“He who performs extraordinary deeds,” i.e., Ṛṣabhadeva65]; merudevyām — in [the womb of] Merudevī; nābheḥ — from King Nābhi; darśayan — he revealed; vartma — the path; dhīrāṇām — of those of highly refined discernment [(parama-vivekinām), who are eligible to abandon everything (sarva-tyāga-samarthānām), being mendicants of the highest order (paramahaṁsānām)66]; sarva-āśrama-namaskṛtam — [which is] revered by people belonging to all stages [as life’s ultimate station (antyāśramam), the path of the highly self-realized (pārama-haṁsyam)67].
Translation
Then, in the eighth avatāra, the Puruṣa appeared as Urukrama [Ṛṣabhadeva] in the womb of Merudevī from King Nābhi. He revealed the path of those of highly refined discernment (dhīrāṇām), which is revered by people belonging to all stages [as life’s ultimate station, the path of the highly self-realized].
