SB 1.3.11

षष्ठमत्रेरपत्यत्वं वृतः प्राप्तोऽनसूयया ।
आन्वीक्षिकीमलर्काय प्रह्लादादिभ्य ऊचिवान् ॥ ११ ॥
ṣaṣṭham atrer apatyatvaṁ vṛtaḥ prāpto’nasūyayā
ānvīkṣikīm alarkāya prahlādādibhya ūcivān

Synonyms

ṣaṣṭham — in the sixth advent [avatāram59]; [the Puruṣa]; vṛtaḥ — being petitioned; anasūyayā — by Anasūyā [the wife of Atri]; prāptaḥ — accepted; apatyatvam — the sonship [appeared as the son named Dattātreya (putro dattātreyākhyo bhūtva)60]; atreḥ — of Atri; ūcivān — [and] taught; ānvīkṣikīm — the metaphysics of the Self [ātma-vidyām61]; alarkāya — to Alarka; prahlāda-ādibhyaḥ — Prahlāda and others [such as Yadu and Haihaya].

Translation

In the sixth avatāra, the Puruṣa, being petitioned by Anasūyā, appeared as [Dattātreya], the son of the sage Atri, and taught the metaphysics of the Self (ānvīkṣikī) to Alarka, Prahlāda, and others.
