नारायणकलाः शान्ता भजन्ति ह्यनसूयवः ॥ २६ ॥
nārāyaṇa-kalāḥ śāntā bhajanti hy anasūyavaḥ
Synonyms
atha — as such; mumukṣavaḥ — those who aspire for liberation; anasūyavaḥ — while altogether free from enmity [toward other gods (devatāntarānindakāḥ);118 and toward their worshipers (devatāntareṣu tad-upāsakeṣu cāsūyā-rāhityam iti sūcitam)]; bhajanti — worship; hi — only; śāntāḥ — the beatific; kalāḥ — expansions [avatāras119]; nārāyaṇa — [of] Śrī Nārāyaṇa; hitvā — avoiding; ghora-rūpān — frightful forms [such as that of Bhairava120]; bhūta-patīn — [and] the custodians of worldly beings [the forefathers (pitṛs), the spirit entities (bhūtas), the progenitors of all beings, and so on (prajeśa-ādīn)121].
Translation
As such, those who aspire for liberation, while altogether free from enmity, worship only the beatific expansions of Bhagavān Nārāyaṇa, avoiding frightful forms and the custodians of worldly beings.
