SB 1.19.30

स संवृतस्तत्र महान्महीयसां ब्रह्मर्षिराजर्षिदेवर्षिसङ्घैः ।
व्यरोचतालं भगवान्यथेन्दुर्ग्रहर्क्षतारानिकरैः परीतः ॥ ३० ॥
sa saṁvṛtas tatra mahān mahīyasāṁ
brahmarṣi-rājarṣi-devarṣi-saṅghaiḥ
vyarocatālaṁ bhagavān yathendur
graharkṣa-tārā-nikaraiḥ parītaḥ

tatra — [while installed] upon that seat of honor [tasmin mahāsane upaviṣṭaḥ230]; saṁvṛtaḥ — surrounded; saṅghaiḥ — by groups; brahmarṣi — [of] brāhmaṇa sages [headed by Vaśiṣṭha (vaśiṣṭhādayaḥ)231]; rājarṣi — royal sages [headed by Ārṣṭiṣeṇa (ārṣṭiṣeṇādayaḥ)232]; devarṣi — [and] celestial sages [headed by Nārada (nāradādayaḥ)233]; saḥ — he; bhagavān — the illustrious [Śukadeva234]; mahān — greatest [(mahīyān), here meaning endowed with greatness or majesty (māhātmya-yuktaḥ)]; mahīyasām [api] — [even] among the great; [appeared]; alam — extraordinarily [(nitarām); (atiśayena)235]; vyarocata — resplendent; yathā — like; induḥ — the moon [candraḥ]; parītaḥ — encircled [parivṛtaḥ]; nikaraiḥ — by clusters [samūhaih]; graha — [of] planets [such as Venus (śukrādayaḥ)236]; ṛkṣa — constellations [through which the moon passes, such as aśvinī (ṛkṣāṇy aśviny ādīni nakṣatrāṇi)237]; tārā — [and] stars; [here, that Śukadeva’s preeminence was said to exceed all those in the assembly, which included even avatāras of Bhagavān headed by Vyāsa, Nārada, and Paraśurāma, was due only to the preeminence of his devotion (atra vyāsa-nārada-paraśurāmādibhyo’vatārebhyo’pi tasyotkarṣo bhakty utkarṣeṇaiveti jñeyam)238].

Translation

While installed upon that seat of honor, surrounded by groups of brāhmaṇa sages, royal sages, and celestial sages, the illustrious Śukadeva, greatest even among the great, appeared extraordinarily resplendent, like the moon encircled by clusters of planets, constellations, and stars.
