SB 1.15.34

ययाहरद्भुवो भारं तां तनुं विजहावजः ।
कण्टकं कण्टकेनेव द्वयं चापीशितुः समम् ॥ ३४ ॥
yayāharad bhuvo bhāraṁ tāṁ tanuṁ vijahāv ajaḥ
kaṇṭakaṁ kaṇṭakeneva dvayaṁ cāpīśituḥ samam

Synonyms

ajaḥ — the unborn [Śrī Kṛṣṇa195]; vijahau — cast off; tām [eva196] — that [very]; tanum — body [in the form of a Yādava (yādava rūpayā tanvā);197 or simply the internal disposition (bhāva eva), characterized as the intent to redress the burden of the earth (bhū-bhāra-jihīrṣā-lakṣaṇaḥ) and to protect the devas (devādi-pipālayiṣā-lakṣaṇaś ca)198]; yayā — by which; aharat — He had relieved; bhāram — the burden; bhuvaḥ — of the earth; iva — just as; kaṇṭakam — a thorn; [is removed]; kaṇṭakena — by another thorn; [since]; dvayam ca — both [the body in the form of the earth’s burden and the body that is used to remove it (bhū-bhāra-bhūtas tanuś tad-hartṛ tanuś ceti);199 or the asuras who had become a burden on the earth and the devas who were amalgamated into the forms of the Yādavas and others (bhū-bhāra-bhūtā asurāḥ yādavādi-rūpā devāś ceti)200]; samam api — are indeed equal [(sāmyam api);201 equally fit to be withdrawn (saṁhāryatvena samam eva)202]; īśituḥ — in the eyes of Īśvara.

Translation

The unborn Śrī Kṛṣṇa cast off that very body by which He had relieved the burden of the earth, just as one would discard the thorn with which another is extracted, since both [the earth’s burden and the body (or intent) used to remove it] are indeed equally fit to be withdrawn in the eyes of Īśvara.
