युधिष्ठिर उवाच
सम्प्रेषितो द्वारकायां जिष्णुर्बन्धुदिदृक्षया ।
ज्ञातुं च पुण्यश्लोकस्य कृष्णस्य च विचेष्टितम् ॥ ६ ॥
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca
sampreṣito dvārakāyāṁ jiṣṇur bandhu-didṛkṣayā
jñātuṁ ca puṇya-ślokasya kṛṣṇasya ca viceṣṭitam

Synonyms

[Yudhiṣṭhira’s statements are now reported in the following sixteen verses (yudhiṣṭira-vākhyāny eva darśayati ṣoḍaśabhiḥ).23]; yudhiṣṭhiraḥ — Yudhiṣṭhira; uvāca — said; jiṣṇuḥ — [the victorious] Arjuna; sampreṣitaḥ — was sent [prasthā-pitaḥ]; dvārakāyām — in [i.e., to] Dvārakā; didṛkṣayā — to see; bandhu — [our] relatives; ca — and; jñātum — to learn; viceṣṭitam — [of] the acts; ca — and [intentions (abhiprāyam)24]; kṛṣṇasya — of Śrī Kṛṣṇa; puṇya-ślokasya — of immaculate glory; [and of the acts and intentions of others as well, beginning with inevitable time, here indicated by the second copulative, “ca” (dvitīya-cakārād anyeṣām api kālādīnām)].

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira said: The victorious Arjuna was sent to Dvārakā to see our relatives and to learn of the acts and intentions of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, of immaculate glory.
