SB 1.13.8

युधिष्ठिर उवाच
अपि स्मरथ नो युष्मत्पक्षच्छायासमेधितान् ।
विपद्गणाद्विषाग्न्यादेर्मोचिता यत्समातृकाः ॥ ८ ॥
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca
api smaratha no yuṣmat-pakṣa-cchāyā-samedhitān
vipad-gaṇād viṣāgnyāder mocitā yat samātṛkāḥ

Synonyms

yudhiṣṭhiraḥ — Yudhiṣṭhira; uvāca — inquired; api — do you [kim16]; smaratha — remember; naḥ — us [asmān]; samedhitān — who grew up [vardhitān]; chāyā — [under] the shade; yuṣmat — [of] your; pakṣa — wing [just as mother birds out of great affection bring up their offspring under the shade of their wings (pakṣino hy apatyāni yathā’ti-snehena pakṣa-cchāyayā vardhayanti tad-vat); or who grew up under your partisanship (pakṣa-cchāyā yuṣmat pakṣa-pātaḥ)17]; yat — since [yasmāt]; samātṛkāḥ — we along with our mother [mātrā-sahitāḥ vayam18]; mocitāḥ — were protected [vimocitāḥ19]; [by you (tvayā)20]; vipat-gaṇāt — from a host of calamities; viṣa — [such as] poisoning; agni-ādeḥ — fire, and so on.

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira inquired: Do you remember us, who grew up under the shade of your wing, since we along with our mother were protected by you from a host of calamities, such as poisoning and fire?
