हर्षशोकयुतस्तस्माद्गन्ता तीर्थनिषेवकः ॥ ५८ ॥
harṣa-śoka-yutas tasmād gantā tīrtha-niṣevakaḥ

[Yudhiṣṭhira might then propose that he should go to bring back Vidura. This is also denied in the next verse (tarhi vidurānayanārthaṁ gantavyam eva nety āha)197]; kuru-nandana — O delight of the Kuru dynasty; viduraḥ — Vidura; tu — on the other hand [the word tu here, indicating contrast, signifies that unlike Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Gāndhārī, Vidura did not give up his body (tu śabdena vidurasya deha-tyāgābhāvaṁ sūcayati)198]; niśāmya — seeing [dṛṣṭvā]; tat — this; āścaryam — wonder [in the form of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s attainment of mukti199]; yutaḥ — will be filled [yuktaḥ]; harṣa — [with both] joy [because of his brother’s attainment of an auspicious end (bhrātuḥ sugatyā); meaning liberation (vimuktyā)200]; śoka — [and] sorrow [because of his death (tan mṛtyunā)]; [thereafter]; gantā — he will leave [gamiṣyati]; tasmāt — from that place [sthānāt]; tīrtha-niṣevakaḥ — to visit the holy shrines [tīrthāni ṣevitum].
Translation
O delight of the Kuru dynasty, Vidura on the other hand, seeing this wonder, will be filled with both joy and sorrow. Thereafter, he will leave that place to visit the holy shrines.
