SB 1.13.36
नाहं वेद व्यवसितं पित्रोर्वः कुलनन्दन ।
गान्धार्या वा महाबाहो मुषितोऽस्मि महात्मभिः ॥ ३६ ॥
nāhaṁ veda vyavasitaṁ pitror vaḥ kula-nandana
gāndhāryā vā mahā-bāho muṣito’smi mahātmabhiḥ
Synonyms
sañjayaḥ — Sañjaya; uvāca — said; mahā-bāho — O mighty-armed one; kula-nandana — O delight of the Kuru dynasty; aham — I; na veda — do not know [na jānāmi115]; vyavasitam — the resolve [niścitam]; vaḥ — [of] your [yuṣmākam]; pitroḥ — two uncles; vā — or; gāndhāryāḥ — of Gāndhārī; [because like you (yataḥ tvam iva)]; asmi — I too [aham api]; muṣitaḥ — have been deceived [vañcitaḥ]; mahā-ātmabhiḥ — by these great souls [meaning that they left surreptitiously while I was sleeping (man-nidrā-samaye te gatā ity bhāvaḥ)116].
Translation
Sañjaya said: O mighty-armed one! O delight of the Kuru dynasty! I do not know the resolve of your two uncles or of Gāndhārī, because like you, I too have been deceived by these great souls.
