SB 1.13.28

एवं राजा विदुरेणानुजेन प्रज्ञाचक्षुर्बोधित आजमीढः ।
छित्त्वा स्वेषु स्नेहपाशान्द्रढिम्नो निश्चक्राम भ्रातृसन्दर्शिताध्वा ॥ २८ ॥
evaṁ rājā vidureṇānujena
prajñā-cakṣur bodhita ājamīḍhaḥ
chittvā sveṣu sneha-pāśān draḍhimno
niścakrāma bhrātṛ-sandarśitādhvā

Synonyms

bodhitaḥ — being awakened; evam — in this manner [by instructions on jñāna mixed with bhakti for the sake of liberation (mukty arthaṁ bhakti-miśra-jñānopadeśena)88]; vidureṇa anujena — by his younger brother Vidura; rājā — King Dhṛtarāṣṭra; ājamīḍhaḥ — the descendant of Ajamīḍha [ajamīḍha-vaṁśajaḥ89]; prajñā-cakṣuḥ90 — [who although outwardly blind] had his internal eye of wisdom opened [an event actuated at this time by Bhagavān in the form of the Indwelling Self (bahir andho’pi tasmin samaye bhagavatā’ntaryāmiṇā sampāditā)91]; chittvā — cut; sneha-pāśān — the bonds of affection; sveṣu — for his kinsmen [or for all that he considered as his own (sva), including wealth, sons, and so on (dhana-putrādiṣu)92]; draḍhimnaḥ — by firm intellectual resolve [citta-dārḍhyāt93]; niścakrāma — [and] set out; adhvā — on the path [of detachment (nivṛtti-mārgo yasya saḥ);94 or the path regarding bondage and liberation (bandha-mokṣayor mārgo yasya saḥ)95]; sandarśita — disclosed; bhrātṛ — by his brother.

Translation

Being awakened in this manner by his younger brother Vidura, King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, the descendant of Ajamīḍha, who, although outwardly blind, had his internal eye of wisdom opened, cut the bonds of affection for his kinsmen by firm intellectual resolve, and set out on the path disclosed by his brother.
