SB 1.12.9

श्रीमद्दीर्घचतुर्बाहुं तप्तकाञ्चनकुण्डलम् ।
क्षतजाक्षं गदापाणिमात्मनः सर्वतो दिशम् ।
परिभ्रमन्तमुल्काभां भ्रामयन्तं गदां मुहुः ॥ ९ ॥
śrīmad-dīrgha-catur-bāhuṁ tapta-kāñcana-kuṇḍalam
kṣatajākṣaṁ gadā-pāṇim ātmanaḥ sarvato diśam
paribhramantam ulkābhāṁ bhrāmayantaṁ gadāṁ muhuḥ

Synonyms

catur — [He had] four; śrīmat — beautiful [śobhāvantaḥ21]; dīrgha — long; bāhum — arms [extending to His knees (ājānulambitāḥ)]; tapta — dazzling [glowing (dāhottīrṇam)22]; kāñcana — golden; kuṇḍalam — earrings; kṣataja-akṣam — [and] bloodshot eyes [(kṣataje rakte akṣiṇī yasya);23 meaning that His eyes were intensely red out of anger directed at the brahmāstra (brahmāstraṁ prati krodhād aty-ārakta-netram)24]; gadā-pāṇim — in one of His hands [He held] a club; ulkābhām — [that] shown like a firebrand [whose radiance was like that of burning coal (ulkasyāṅgārasyevābhā yasyās tāṁ gadām)]; muhuḥ — [as He] continuously [muhur-muhuḥ]; bhrāmayantam — rotated; gadām — the club; ātmanaḥ — [while] He Himself; paribhramantam — encircled [the child]; sarvataḥ — in every; diśam — direction [to protect him (rakṣārtham)].

Translation

He had four beautiful long arms, dazzling golden earrings, and bloodshot eyes. In one of His hands, He held a club that shone like a firebrand as He continuously rotated it, while He Himself encircled the child in every direction.
