अस्त्रतेजः स्वगदया नीहारमिव गोपतिः ।
विधमन्तं सन्निकर्षे पर्यैक्षत क इत्यसौ ॥ १० ॥

Synonyms
sva-gadayā — with His club; vidhamantam — [He] extinguished [vināśayantam25]; astra-tejaḥ — the fire of the brahmāstra [which was comparatively insignificant (alpa-tejaḥ)]; iva — just as [yathā26]; gopatiḥ — the sun [sūryaḥ]; [dispels (nāśayati)27]; nīhāram — fog [or frost (himam)]; [on seeing such a person (evam bhūtaṁ purusaṁ dadarśa)28]; sannikarṣe — in his proximity [sva-samīpe29]; [the child in the womb (garbha-gato bālaḥ)]; paryaikṣata — reflected [vitarkitavān]; kaḥ — who; asau iti — can He be.
Translation
With His club, He extinguished the fire of the brahmāstra just as the sun dispels fog. On seeing such a person in his proximity, the child in the womb reflected, “Who can He be?”
