SB 1.10.31

सूत उवाच
एवंविधा गदन्तीनां स गिरः पुरयोषिताम् ।
निरीक्षणेनाभिनन्दन्सस्मितेन ययौ हरिः ॥ ३१ ॥
sūta uvāca
evaṁ-vidhā gadantīnāṁ sa giraḥ pura-yoṣitām
nirīkṣaṇenābhinandan sasmitena yayau hariḥ

Synonyms

sūtaḥ — Śrī Sūta; uvāca — said; nirīkṣaṇena97 — by casting glances; sa-smitena — imbued with gentle smiles; saḥ — He; hariḥ — Hari [Śrī Kṛṣṇa]; abhinandan — acknowledged; evaṁ-vidhāḥ — such manner; [citrāḥ98] giraḥ — [of extraordinary] speech; pura-yoṣitām — of the city women; gadantīnām — who were conversing among themselves [jalpantīnām99]; yayau — [and] left [Hastināpura].

Translation

Śrī Sūta said: By casting glances imbued with gentle smiles, Hari [Śrī Kṛṣṇa] acknowledged such manner of extraordinary speech of the city women, who were conversing among themselves, and left Hastināpura.
