Translation

May I, who now covet death, be granted love for Bhagavān [Śrī Kṛṣṇa], who was magnificent to behold in His charioteer’s splendor, holding a whip in His right hand and the horses’ reins in the left, having assumed the responsibility to protect Arjuna’s chariot, and upon seeing whom, the warriors who were then killed on the battlefield attained a form like His [or the liberated state of merging into His form].
