मम निशितशरैर्विभिद्यमानत्वचि विलसत्कवचेऽस्तु कृष्ण आत्मा ॥ ३४ ॥
kaca-lulita-śrama-vāry-alaṅkṛtāsye
mama niśita-śarair vibhidyamāna-
tvaci vilasat-kavace’stu kṛṣṇa ātmā

astu — may; ātmā — my mind [mama manaḥ110]; [delight (ramatām)]; kṛṣṇe — in [the vision of] Śrī Kṛṣṇa; yudhi — in the midst of battle [yuddhe]; āsye — whose face [āsyaṁ mukhaṁ yasya sa tathoktas tasmin111]; alaṅkṛta — is decorated; vāri — [with] drops of perspiration [sveda-bindu-rūpam]; śrama — from the labor of war; [by which His affection toward His devotee, Bhīṣma, is indicated (tena bhakta-vātsalya-dyotakena)]; kaca-lulita — [and] encircled with flowing locks of hair [kacāḥ kuntalās tair lulitaṁ vikīrṇam]; viṣvak — scattered in every direction [itas-tataś calantaḥ]; rajo-vidhūmra — [and] covered with dust [rajaḥ tena vidhumrā dhusarāste]; turaga — raised by the horses’ hooves [turagāṇāṁ khura-nipātotthitaiḥ112]; tvaci — whose skin [yasya tvak]; vibhidyamāna — is pierced; mama — by my [madīyaiḥ]; niśita-śaraiḥ — sharp arrows [tīkṣṇaiḥ śaraiḥ]; kavace — [and] whose armor; vilasat — glitters [with the marks of those very arrows (śarair eva)].
Translation
May my mind delight in the vision of Śrī Kṛṣṇa in the midst of battle, whose face is decorated with drops of perspiration from the labor of war and encircled with flowing locks of hair, scattered in every direction and covered with dust raised by the horses’ hooves, whose skin is pierced by my sharp arrows, and whose armor glitters [with the marks of those very arrows].
