SB 1.9.29

धर्मं प्रवदतस्तस्य स कालः प्रत्युपस्थितः ।
यो योगिनश्छन्दमृत्योर्वाञ्छितस्तूत्तरायणः ॥ २९ ॥
dharmaṁ pravadatas tasya sa kālaḥ pratyupasthitaḥ
yo yoginaś chanda-mṛtyor vāñchitas tūttarāyaṇaḥ

Synonyms

tasya — while he [Bhīṣma]; pravadataḥ — was speaking; dharmam — on dharma; sa tu kālaḥ — that very moment; uttarāyaṇaḥ — known as uttarāyaṇa [when the sun’s course changes from south to north (sūrya-maṇḍala-madhyastha-mārgatvāt), a precise juncture that enables ascension and entry into the sun (sūrye gantuṁ śakyate)88]; pratyupasthitaḥ — presented itself to him [samprāptaḥ89]; yaḥ — [a moment] which; vāñchitaḥ — is favored; yoginaḥ — of [i.e., by] yogīs [because of their exclusive fixity on the path of ascension (uttara-gater niyatatvāt)90]; chanda-mṛtyoḥ — who are able to give up their bodies at will [chandena icchayā mṛtyur yasya91].

Translation

While Bhīṣma was speaking on dharma, that very moment known as uttarāyaṇa [when the sun’s course changes from south to north] presented itself to him — a moment that is favored by yogīs who are able to give up their bodies at will.
