तदा ते भ्रातरः सर्वे सदश्वैः स्वर्णभूषितैः ।
अन्वगच्छन् रथैर्विप्रा व्यासधौम्यादयस्तथा ॥ २ ॥

tadā te bhrātaraḥ sarve sad-aśvaiḥ svarṇa-bhūṣitaiḥ

Synonyms
viprā — O brāhmaṇas; tadā — at that time; sarve — all; te — those; bhrātaraḥ — brothers [of Yudhiṣṭhira (yudhiṣṭhirasya)8]; tathā — along with; vyāsa-dhaum- yādayas — Vyāsa, Dhaumya, and other sages; anvagacchan — followed [him (tam)9]; rathair — by [i.e., in] chariots; svarṇa-bhūṣitaiḥ — decorated with golden ornaments; sad-aśvaiḥ — [and drawn] by excellent horses [śreṣṭhā aśvā yeṣu tair rathaiḥ10].
Translation
O brāhmaṇas, at that time, all of Yudhiṣṭhira’s brothers, along with Vyāsa, Dhaumya, and other sages, followed him in chariots decorated with golden ornaments and drawn by excellent horses.
