विमोचिताहं च सहात्मजा विभो त्वयैव नाथेन मुहुर्विपद्गणात् ॥ २३ ॥
vimocitāhaṁ ca sahātmajā vibho tvayaiva nāthena muhur vipad-gaṇāt
Synonyms
vibho — O Omnipotent One [sarva-śakte79]; hṛṣīkeśa — O Master of the Senses; yathā — just as; devakī — Devakī; ruddhā — who was imprisoned; śuca-arpitā — [and] thrown into grief [śokaṁ prāpitā]; ati-ciram — for a long time; khalena — by the wicked [durātmanā]; kaṁsena — King Kaṁsa; vimocitā — was delivered; [by You (tvayā)80]; ca — so too [tathaiva81]; aham — I; saha-ātmajā — along with my sons [sa-putrā]; muhuḥ — [have been] repeatedly; [delivered (vimocitā)82]; vipat-gaṇāt — from a series of calamities; tvayā eva — by You alone; nāthena — our protector.
Translation
O Omnipotent One! O Master of the Senses! Just as Devakī, who was imprisoned and thrown into grief for a long time by the wicked King Kaṁsa, was delivered by You, so too I, along with my sons, have been repeatedly delivered from a series of calamities by You alone, our protector.
