जह्यस्त्रतेज उन्नद्धमस्त्रज्ञो ह्यस्त्रतेजसा ॥ २८ ॥

Synonyms
[Arjuna might then question, “So, shall I counteract this fire with the water weapon of Varuṇa or with some other weapon?” (tarhi vāruṇāstrādinā vahnim upaśamayāmīti cet). To this Kṛṣṇa responds as follows (tatrāha na hy asyeti).116]; na hi — there is certainly not; anyatamam — any other; astram kiñcit — weapon at all; prati-ava-karśanam — that can counteract [kṛṣatva-karaṁ nivartakam117]; asya — it; [you, however (tvam)]; astra-jñaḥ [asi] — are expert in the use of missiles; [therefore (ataḥ)]; jahi — subdue [ghātaya]; unnaddham — this dreadful [utkaṭam]; astra-tejaḥ — missile fire; astra-tejasā hi — specifically by the prowess of another missile of Brahmā [brahmāstra-tejasaiva]; [the weapon employed by you will counteract his weapon and then self-extinguish (tvat prayuktañ cāstraṁ tad-upasaṁhṛtya svayaṁ upaśāmyet), because you are expert in the use of weapons (yatas tvaṁ astrajño’si)].
Translation
There is certainly not any other weapon at all [except for another brahmāstra] that can counteract this missile. You, however, are expert in the use of missiles. Therefore, subdue this dreadful missile fire specifically by the prowess of another missile of Brahmā.
