विधत्से स्वेन वीर्येण श्रेयो धर्मादिलक्षणम् ॥ २४ ॥
vidhatse svena vīryeṇa śreyo dharmādi-lakṣaṇam
Synonyms
saḥ eva — He alone [You, the one alone who is situated beyond māyā (yas tvaṁ māyām abhibhūya sthitaḥ sa eva);99 or the one alone who is situated in unalloyed experience (kaivalye sthita eva)100]; svena — by Your own; vīryeṇa — transrational power [acintya-prabhāvena101]; vidhatse — bestow [prayacchasi]; śreyaḥ — well-being [the ultimate good (puruṣārtha)]; lakṣaṇam — characterized by; dharma-ādi — dharma and life’s other primary aims [dharmārtha-kāma-mokṣaḥ]; jīva-lokasya — upon the living being [prāṇijātasya]; cetasaḥ — whose awareness; māyā-mohita — is deluded by māyā [or by ignorance (avidyayā mohitam)].
Translation
You alone, by Your own transrational power, bestow well-being in the form of dharma and life’s other primary aims upon the living being, whose awareness is deluded by māyā.
