SB 1.7.17

इति प्रियां वल्गुविचित्रजल्पैः स सान्त्वयित्वाच्युतमित्रसूतः ।
अन्वाद्रवद्दंशित उग्रधन्वा कपिध्वजो गुरुपुत्रं रथेन ॥ १७ ॥
iti priyāṁ valgu-vicitra-jalpaiḥ sa sāntvayitvācyuta-mitra-sūtaḥ
anvādravad daṁśita ugra-dhanvā kapi-dhvajo guru-putraṁ rathena

Synonyms

iti sāntvayitvā — having thus consoled; priyām — his beloved [Draupadī]; valgu — [with] endearing [ramyā72]; vicitra — [and] wondrous; jalpaiḥ — words [bhāṣaṇāni]; saḥ — he [Arjuna]; acyuta-mitra-sūtaḥ — whose friend and charioteer is Acyuta [Śrī Kṛṣṇa]; kapi-dhvajaḥ — whose chariot bears the insignia of Hanumān on its banner [kapir hanumān dhvaje yasya]; ugra-dhanvā — [and] who is equipped with a fierce bow [(ugraṁ dhanuś cāpo yasya); which is unassailable by his enemies (śatrubhir apradhṛsyam);73 implying that the ferocity of his bow is such that death is the assured outcome for his assailants (dhanuśa ugratvaṁ vadha-paryavasāyitvāt)74]; daṁśitaḥ — put on armor [baddha-kavacaḥ]; anvādravat — [and] pursued [anvadhāvat]; guru-putram — the son of his guru [Aśvatthāmā]; rathena — by chariot.

Translation

Having thus consoled his beloved Draupadī with endearing and wondrous words, Arjuna, whose friend and charioteer is Acyuta [Śrī Kṛṣṇa], whose chariot bears the insignia of Hanumān on its banner, and who is equipped with a fierce bow, put on armor and pursued Aśvatthāmā, the son of his guru, by chariot.
