तदारुदद्वाष्पकलाकुलाक्षी तां सान्त्वयन्नाह किरीटमाली ॥ १५ ॥
tadārudad vāṣpa-kalākulākṣītāṁ sāntvayann āha kirīṭamālī

niśamya — on hearing; nidhanam — [of] the slaughter; śiśūnām sutānām — of her young sons; mātā — [their] mother [Draupadī]; ghoram paritapyamānā — was overwhelmed with the most unbearable grief [ghoraṁ duḥsahaṁ yathā bhavati69]; arudat — [and] wept bitterly; vāṣpa-kalā-ākula-akṣī — as her eyes filled with streams of tears [vāṣpasya kalābhir bindubhiḥ ākule vyāpte akṣiṇīḥ]; tadā — in that moment; kirīṭamālī70 — Arjuna; āha — spoke [as follows]; sāntvayan — to console; tām — her.
Translation
On hearing of the slaughter of her young sons, their mother Draupadī was overwhelmed with the most unbearable grief and wept bitterly, as her eyes filled with streams of tears. In that moment, Arjuna spoke as follows to console her.
