जन्मकर्मरहस्यं मे भवतश्चात्मतोषणम् ॥ ३७ ॥
janma-karma-rahasyaṁ me bhavataś cātma-toṣaṇam
Synonyms
anagha — O sinless [Vyāsa]; yat — whatever; pṛṣṭaḥ — has been asked; tvayā — by you; rahasyam — [regarding] the mystery; me — [of] my [mama175]; janma — birth; karma — [and] actions [in particular, the destruction of my prārabdha-karma, the abandonment of my sādhaka body, and the attainment of a transcendental body (cinmaya-deha) that is not a product of previously performed action (akarmārabdha), which is a mystery (rahasyam) undiscernible even by the direct knowers of Vedānta (vedānta-darśibhir apy agamyam)176]; ca — and; bhavataḥ ātma-toṣaṇam — [regarding] the means of fulfillment of your authentic self [or regarding the cause of the complete pacification of your mind (bhavato manaḥ paritoṣa-kāraṇam)177]; aham — I; ākhyātam — have described; sarvam — all; tat idam — of this; [to you (tubhyam)178].
Translation
O sinless [Vyāsa], I have described to you all that you have asked regarding the mystery of my birth and actions and regarding the means of fulfillment of your authentic self.
