SB 1.5.38

इति मूर्त्यभिधानेन मन्त्रमूर्तिममूर्तिकम् ।
यजते यज्ञपुरुषं स सम्यग्दर्शनः पुमान् ॥ ३८ ॥
iti mūrty-abhidhānena mantra-mūrtim amūrtikam
yajate yajña-puruṣaṁ sa samyag-darśanaḥ pumān

Synonyms

saḥ — one; [who (yaḥ)]; yajate — worships [pūjayati160]; yajña-puruṣam — the presiding deity of sacrifice [He whose form is meditated upon through worship (pūjāyāṁ dhyeyākāram ity arthaḥ)161]; mantra-mūrtim — whose form consists of mantra [the mantra form just specified in the previous verse (tad-ukta-mūrtim); whose form is the object of meditation through mantra (mantra-dhyānokta-mūrtim), or whose form is self-disclosed simply by uttering the mantra (mantreṇaiva japitenāvirbhavati mūrtiṁ śarīraṁ yasyeti vā)162]; amūrtikam — [and yet] who is devoid of material form [tathāpi prākṛta-mūrti-rahitam163]; iti mūrti abhidhānena — by uttering the names of the above four Divinities [Vāsudeva and so on (iti mūrtīnāṁ vāsudevādīnāṁ abhidhānena nāma-catuṣṭayena)164]; [becomes (bhavati)165]; pumān — a person; samyak darśanaḥ — [of] complete vision [meaning that his vision is complete (samyaktvaṁ darśanasya) due to the self-disclosure of Śrī Bhagavān (śrī-bhagavad-āvirbhāvāt) and not incomplete as in the case of the self-disclosure of Brahman (na tu brahma-darśana-vat khilatvam iti);166 or the sense of the words samyag darśanaḥ is that simply by seeing such a person, others also become complete (taṁ dṛṣṭvā anye’pi kṛtārthā bhavanti);167 or the completeness of his vision implies that he directly perceives (sākṣāt-karoti) Bhagāvan accompanied by His līlā168].

Translation

One who worships the presiding deity of sacrifice, whose form consists of mantra, and yet who is devoid of material form, by uttering the names of the above four Divinities, is endowed with complete vision.
