Translation
Unto me, a young boy, who had become thus [filled with prema-bhakti], who was affectionate, humble, freed from sin, established in firm faith, disciplined, and engaged in their service, those sages, who were graciously disposed toward the meek, when about to depart, compassionately disclosed that most confidential knowledge [of Śrīmad Bhāgavata, concerning the mystery of prema-bhakti alone], which was spoken by Bhagavān Himself.
