Translation
The universal qualitative constituents (guṇas) of primordial nature (prakṛti) are known as luminosity (sattva), dynamism (rajas), and stasis (tamas). Endowed with these, although the One transcendent Supreme Person assumes three different names — Hari (Viṣṇu), Viriñci (Brahmā), and Hara (Śiva), respectively — for the sustenance, evolution, and dissolution of this material world, yet among them, the ultimate benefits for humanity ensue from Śrī Viṣṇu alone, the direct embodiment of unalloyed being (viśuddha-sattva).
