यस्मिन्नहनि यर्ह्येव भगवानुत्ससर्ज गाम् ।
तदैवेहानुवृत्तोऽसावधर्मप्रभवः कलिः ॥ ६ ॥

yasminn ahani yarhy eva bhagavān utsasarja gām
tadaivehānuvṛtto’sāv adharma-prabhavaḥ kaliḥ

Synonyms
[The time of Kali’s entrance is now specified (kaleḥ praveśa-kālam āha yasminn iti).39]; yasmin — on that; ahani — very day [divase40]; yarhi eva — [and] in the precise moment [yasmin eva kṣaṇe41]; bhagavān — [that] Bhagavān [Śrī Kṛṣṇa42]; utsasarja — left [tatyāja]; gām — the earth [pṛthvīm43]; tadā eva — at that exact time; asau — this same [ayam44]; kaliḥ — Kali; prabhavaḥ — the source; adharma — [of] unrighteousness; anuvṛttaḥ — entered [pravṛṣṭaḥ]; iha — this world [bhūmau].
Translation
On that very day and in the precise moment that Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa left the earth, this same Kali, the source of unrighteousness, entered this world.
