SB 1.18.22

यत्रानुरक्ताः सहसैव धीरा व्यपोह्य देहादिषु सङ्गमूढम् ।
व्रजन्ति तत्पारमहंस्यमन्त्यं यस्मिन्नहिंसोपशमः स्वधर्मः ॥ २२ ॥
yatrānuraktāḥ sahasaiva dhīrā
vyapohya dehādiṣu saṅgam ūḍham
vrajanti tat pārama-haṁsyam antyaṁ
yasminn ahiṁsopaśamaḥ sva-dharmaḥ

Synonyms

anuraktāḥ — those who are endowed with love [anurāga-yuktāḥ santaḥ198]; yatra — for Him [Bhagavān Mukunda (yasmin bhagavati mukunde)]; dhīrāḥ — [and] who are thus self-composed [(sthira-svabhāvāḥ);199 having mastered their senses and emotions (jitendriyāḥ)]; sahasā eva — [can] immediately [suddenly or unexpectedly (akasmād eva); or by the sudden arising of some great fortune (kenāpi bhāgyodayena)200]; vyapohya — relinquish [tyaktvā201]; ūḍham — [their] firmly held [(dhṛtam);202 or root (mūlam)]; saṅgam — attachment [āsaktim203]; deha ādiṣu — to the body and its extensions [dehe tad-anubandhyādiṣu]; vrajanti — [and] proceed to [i.e., attain]; tat — that; antyam — highest pinnacle of perfection [parama-kāṣṭhāpannam204]; pārama-haṁsyam — the state of the most highly evolved devotees [bhāgavata parama-haṁsatvam205]; yasmin — wherein; ahiṁsā — nonviolence [the total absence of envy, jealousy, and malice (mātsaryādi-rāhitya)206]; upaśamaḥ — [and] unwavering tranquility of being [meaning resolute fixity in Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa (bhagavan-niṣṭhāḥ)207]; sva-dharmaḥ — [become] their natural characteristics [svābhāviko dharmaḥ208].

Translation

Those who are endowed with love for Bhagavān Mukunda [Śrī Kṛṣṇa] and who are thus self-composed can immediately relinquish their firmly held attachment to the body and its extensions, and proceed to the highest pinnacle of perfection—the state of the most highly evolved devotees (pārama-haṁsyam)—wherein nonviolence and unwavering tranquility of being become their natural characteristics.
