SB 1.17.7

त्वं वा मृणालधवलः पादैर्न्यूनः पदा चरन् ।
वृषरूपेण किं कश्चिद्देवो नः परिखेदयन् ॥ ७ ॥
tvaṁ vā mṛṇāla-dhavalaḥ pādair nyūnaḥ padā caran
vṛṣa-rūpeṇa kiṁ kaścid devo naḥ parikhedayan

Synonyms

[The king then questioned the bull (vṛṣaṁ praty āha).42]; tvam vā [kaḥ] — and who are you; mṛṇāla-dhavalaḥ — white as the root of a lotus; caran — [and] moving about; padā — by [i.e., on] a single leg [ekena padā43]; nyūnaḥ — having been deprived; pādaiḥ — by [i.e., of] your other three legs [pādais tribhiḥ44]; [the king then suggests the answer to his own question (svayam eva sambhāvayati)]; kim — are you; kaścit — some particular; devaḥ — god; [who have presently appeared (vartase)]; rūpeṇa — in the form of; vṛṣa — a bull; naḥ parikhedayan — to occasion our grief [asmān khedayitum45].

Translation

[The king then questioned the bull:] And who are you, white as the root of a lotus and moving about on a single leg, having been deprived of your other three legs? Are you some particular deva, who have presently appeared in the form of a bull to occasion our grief?
