एष राज्ञां परो धर्मो ह्यार्तानामार्तिनिग्रहः ।
अत एनं वधिष्यामि भूतद्रुहमसत्तमम् ॥ ११ ॥

ata enaṁ vadhiṣyāmi bhūta-druham asattamam

Synonyms
paraḥ — the foremost [utkṛṣṭaḥ61]; dharmaḥ — duty; rājñām — of kings; eṣaḥ hi — [is] indeed this; nigrahaḥ — to dispel [parihāraḥ]; ārti — the sufferings [duḥkha]; ārtānām — of the distressed [duḥkhitānām]; ataḥ — therefore; vadhiṣyāmi — I shall kill; enam — this; asat-tamam — most vile felon; bhūta-druham — the oppressor of living beings [bhūta-droha-kāriṇam].
Translation
The foremost duty of kings is indeed to dispel the suffering of the distressed. I shall therefore kill this most vile felon, the oppressor of living beings.
