Translation

Brahmā and the other devas, hoping to receive the compassionate sidelong glance of the Goddess Śrī, undertook penance for a vast duration. Yet that very same Goddess Śrī, although already fully surrendered to Bhagavān, left Her own abode—the forest of lotus flowers—to devotionally attend to the splendor of the lotus feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa with great love. Being magnificently adorned with the divine feet of that very same Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa—which bear the marks of the lotus, thunderbolt, goad, and flag—and being thus graced with all opulence by Him, I exceeded the three worlds in splendor. Thereafter, upon the expiration of those opulences, He abandoned me, overcome as I was with pride.
