Translation

In each place visited, Parīkṣit heard people singing the glories of the great souls who preceded him in his dynasty—which allude to Kṛṣṇa’s own divine majesty—his deliverance from the fire of Aśvatthāmā’s brahmāstra weapon, the mutual affection between the Vṛṣṇis and the sons of Pṛthā, and their devotion to Keśava, Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Being greatly pleased at this, the generous king, whose eyes were expanded out of affection, donated greatly valuable items, garments, and necklaces to them.
